I need to know what kind of HDD it is in my comp, S-ATA? IDE? it has died

So I need to install a new one.
I also need to know if there is a limit to how much space BIOS is compatible with.

The D series has a P-ATA interface aka IDE. The size limit should be at 120GB.

There's a limit at 137 GB - the BIOS has to support 48-bit LBA: http://www.48bitlba.com/
