Motherboard problem 3438GL How can i flash my bios....??

Postby Arkan » Mon Aug 20, 2007 2:23 pm

I want to try to flash my bios in my 3438Gl notebook , because after a power failure my notebook display went blank.I took it to the service of Siemens here in Greece and they say that i have to change the vga board.
The total cost is about 650 E so i am searching for alternative solutions. Is there any way i can see in my display so i can try to flash my bios...?

Why do you want to flash your BIOS if the graphics card is broken? Or do you think it isn't?

I read in your forum several people ,trying to flash the bios ,to have results and i thought i can have a try...Would you suggest something else..?My local siemens service sayw that the vga card is damaged and i have to change the whole motherboard.I am looking in ebay for a used card but i am afraid that maybe i will buy a faulty one and my money will go in the drain...Thank you in advance for your concern ,please advice

http://www.mxm-upgrade.com/ sells new MXM cards (or maybe used and working ones from their customers too). If it's really the vga board, then it could be worth a try.

So my friend Arkan Greece FSC wont bother with your problem it is like a joke if your hand hurts then cut it... I am from Greece too Thessaloniki, and have the same problem black screen and (dead mobo as they say) so have a look at www.ipc-computer.eu or .de maybe everyone with the same or other problems could find solution,I have sent mine M3438 for service there as a last hope.
