Postby roadrash » Thu Sep 06, 2007 9:41 pm

Can someone please tell me what i need to do to get the sound & wireless networking working on this laptop.

I read this post:-

My sound finally works with my amiloL1718 and Ubuntu 7.04 !
I just had to add the following line at the end of the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base:
options snd-hda-intel index=0 model=3stack
I found that in the french ubuntu forum...

and added the extra line to alsa-base but it didn't work.

I also read this thread
Li1718 auto installation for ubuntu 32bit - Testers needed
& downloaded the fsca16xx.sh script & ran it as per the instruction with the post but still don't have any sound or wireless. I am using linux mint v 3.0 which is just a KDE version of Ubuntu 7.04 fiesty.

can someone tell me exactly what i need to do
