AMILO 1703 problems

Postby KickingKing » Wed Sep 19, 2007 2:15 pm

I hate AMILO. Hate FS that has no f****ng support. It's my 3rd one that I am installing and i HATE them. So there is a nice offer for 1703 and I am going to buy one. I have one in my hands and I am trying to check everything with it if it is working fine, am I sattisfied and so on.
I preinstalled windows (XP Pro x64 SP2) because it was XP 32bit with a lot of s**t in it but now I have no CD with drivers (only one knopixx that is no use if you ask me). So stupid!
Anyways I ran the windows update and it installed some of the drivers but there are two that are still missing - "Modem device on high definition audio bus" and "USB Device".
So I checked the topic about drivers but man how should I know what type is my wireless for example? I've downloaded the data sheet for this model but in communications it is displayed only "intergrated wireless lan solution b/g" and on the box is similar. WTF?!!? In the tread for drivers there are 3-4 different drivers...
For the video it is the same bs: datasheet sais VIA Chrome 9 HC but here there are 4 links.
So guys please tell me how to find what I need.

Btw on it there is "powerful with 1025mb ram)" but I've bought it for 2GB and in properties of My Computer it is written that way. Is it okay or it is some software bs?
Is it mistake I've installed xp x64 or should i leave x32?

I'd recommend you install the 32bit version of Windows XP since you wouldn't encounter so many driver problems.

Well that's what happened.
We found ALL the drivers we needed except for the WLAN thought I think they could be found. If I had more time... So for ppl who want to do it I think it is possible to make it run but you need to find them by hand device for every single device.
Thank you Borkar for your support!

Yeah I made it work with x32 drivers too but some versions does not run smothly so if you have problems try older (different) version.
