Hmm.. Decoded the adress. Doesn't seem to be system's EEPROM or EDID. Not sure if lifting the pins will do any good.

If you want to give it a go: lift pins 6 and 7 of U15.

Place the iron against the pin, don't push. Wait for the solder to 'flow'. If it doesn't, apply bit of additional solder. Not to much or the pins will stick together. Use a needle, pencil, tweezers as a wedge and gently lift the pin untill it doesn't touch the pad beneath it anymore. If the test is finished and it didn't work, push the pin down again with the hot iron.

Please note that you're doing this at your own risk. This will also leave marks on the card, so you may not be able to return it.

What you think about?

I've tried to lift Pins lift pins 6 and 7 of U15 with an iron thread without results.

System won't boot. Damn.

Well, it all means more and more that a Bios problem is the cause.

My bed is calling, but I'll dig in the bios tomorrow.

I thinks that my iron bridge builded yesterday was much dirt. Because i have a big instrument. Well i think is better not to take it in consideration.

I'm getting a laser solder to retry. But two weeks are needed to delivery.

Well, is it possible that PciEx slot has insufficient voltage/amperage?
(A mainboard mod or a PciEx slot mod will be necessary..)

Or may be a VideoBios MOD is needed to lower its voltage?

Hi Jack,

If properly implemented, the MXM module should draw it's main power directly from the battery, but this is one of the corners they could've cut.

But there could be a problem between the listed power consumption of the MXM and lister capability of the MoBo... I dunno. I'm trying to figure out some stuff, but it's taking time..

Yes, as tell some datasheets from Nvidia it's one still premature tecnology.

I'm totally in agreement with you. Now i'm getting Alienware support to help us but no-reply was returned. Still waiting.

I hope we will succeed.

Don't worry man. You're making of your best.

But have you any detailed scheme of MxM/PciEx slot Pin's??

Because i will try some tests points.

I'm using an Amperage/Voltage tester to understand from which pins the Video Card takes power consumption and how much it consumes some.

Mech and electro spec can be found here ->

http://www.nvidia.com/page/mxm.htm

BTW: do you (or anybody else) have a Alienware login that I could use? Alienware offers a version of the Unwill 259 with a x1600. I would like to have a look at that bios. If there are no differences with the officail bios, then perhaps we can close of the Bios route. If there ís a difference, that's proabbly the best starting point.
