Amilo D7830 onboard Sound

Postby Jay Bee Kay » Sun Sep 23, 2007 9:27 pm

I Have a strange problem with my sound card, from the two on board speakers only one plays, and if i plug external speakers into my audio output, only one speaker/channel of them works,

So i came to the conclusion that it couldn't be my speaker thats broken, so it has to be either my sound card or my drivers or (like i don't want it to be) it could be something wrong with my motherboard.

Pls HELP me ASAP, pls people!

Hmm, are you sure your volume settings are correct - especially the balance left/right speaker?
Your audio test file is ok (works on another computer with both channels)?

Ok, then I would try it with a Linux Live CD, e.g. http://www.knoppix.org/ .
Just boot from CD and check if sound works normally (I think there are system sounds).
