Help Amilo PA1510

Postby SEXPISTOL » Sun Sep 30, 2007 5:25 pm

I know I have just joined this group
and Im really glad I found you , but I need some help
Im at my whits end I have a Amilo PA1510 everything was working fine
till I decided to format and install windows xp pro
everytime I try to install windows xp it crashes near the part when it registers the devices .. just blue screen of death.
I tried to install the recovery disk and it does the same. and that has windows Home on it . I dont know wether to blame the hard drive
which is a 120 gig WD sata . do you think its the hard drive?
I connected the hard drive to my desktop pc and formatted it installed windows no problem. I do not have another Sata 2"5 drive to test any further so should I go buy a new hard drive or is my laptop at fault?

HELP

Hi

Try memtest86+ first - maybe your RAM isn't ok.

wifi

Postby SEXPISTOL » Mon Oct 01, 2007 3:23 am

I have installed xp
and now I cant seem to get my wifi card working !
it says no driver installed /or inserted !
the only thing i can think of is the wifi card has only a black wire going to the Main! and there is no wire for the Aux. is this right ?
I was thinking maybe There is a white aux wire hidden in my laptop somewhere that I have missed

cheers
