Amilo L7300 Fan Not Working Properly/Not Working At All

Postby h2ku » Mon Oct 15, 2007 8:06 pm

Hi All.

I've got an Amilo L7300 laptop, which is about 2 years old, and it seems to get really hot within about 10minutes of usage?

Could ayone share any advice on what the problem/solution could be?

Or even anything I could try as a fix for it?

Thanks in advance

Install the latest Power Manager form www.fujitsu-siemens.com, (if it's not helps update your operating system)
and open the notebook and clear the fan...l

Is it easy enough to get into the fan to clear it?

Any advice?

Also, what does the power manager do anyways?

Thanks In Advance

yes, it's easy to reach it:
1) open up that cover between the lcd screen and the keyboard
2) pick up the screews
3) take down the metal cover (another 3-4 screew)
4) you have to see the fan -> clean it

the power manager controls the CPU, if you set it to 50% mode, the celeron get to run on approx. 900 MHz

can someone give me an exact link to the power manager software? I cannot find my CD and Fujitsu's website is horrible. Thanks!

P.S. A quick reply would be welcome, I need my wifi!
