One of the users on here called damagedspline has written a simple shell script for the Li1718 may work on the Li1818. Its automatic & does all the hard work for you. I have just used a slightly modified version to install the latest Ubuntu Hardy Heron version of Linux Mint KDE edition but it should now work with all current versions of Ubuntu. I have just emailed him to tell him what I have done & waiting for his response.
I will post the modified version of this script on here for Hardy Heron if damagedspline approves it.
