High temp/loud fan on Si1520

Postby Dandere » Tue Jun 20, 2006 4:59 pm

Hello,

I´ve just bought an Si1520. The specs are as follows:

t2300 (1,66Ghz)
1024 Mb ram
80 gb HD
GMA950

I only surf the web and listen to mp3. Nothing demanding.
After 10 minutes of surfing and listening to music the cpu-temp has reached 56 degrees celsius and the fan kicks in and lowers the heat to 50 degrees. After a few minutes the cpu-temp once again is 56 degrees and the fan starts again. Pressing the "Silent mode" button does not make any difference. This gets very annoying after a while.

Can anyone help me out with this?

Thanks in advance!

Regards

You could try Notebook Hardware Control or RM Clock to undervolt your processor.
I don't think it will solve the problem, but the intervals should be longer.
