Dead Amilo D7830

Postby nigel1705 » Wed Oct 24, 2007 1:55 pm

I have just been given this laptop by a friend of mine.

The unit is totally dead, in that the charge light doesn't show and the unit does nothing when the power button is pressed.

The AC adapter is supplying voltage to the board, and there is voltage to the battery terminals as if it would charge a battery.

I have replaced the BIOS battery.
I have taken the ram out and tested it in another machine.
I have also bought a motherboard (condition unknown) from ebay and tried it and still nothing.

Any ideas would be greatfully received.

Regards,
Nigel.

Hi,
Try replacing the main battery.
It worked for me yesterday.
