Hi there,

I have just decided to make the switch and have installed linux. Whilst most things seem to be ok, there is a problem with recognising the SD reader.

I've had a quick look around on this topic, and most Amilo models seem to have O2Micro smartcardbus, Whilst a lspci -v on my machine seems to show that my Cardbus controller is
1:03.0 CardBus bridge: O2 Micro, Inc. OZ711M1/MC1 4-in-1 MemoryCardBus Controller (rev 20)


So, is it possible that the smartcardbus controller would work for my model?

I've got the same line in lspci, but I couldn't get it to work:
