Upgrade Si 1848, Ram or HDD

Postby latchiopal » Tue Nov 06, 2007 5:39 pm

Hi

im the lucky owner of an amilo si 1848, 1GB ram, 120 GB HDD 5400rpm.

Can anyone tell me what to upgrade first; RAM or HDD??

I was thinking 2x1GB ram or an 7200rpm HDD.

Witch solution will give me the best performance??

Is your hdd too slow? Check with HD Tach ("average read" is important).

Probably you have Vista? Considering the current prices for DDR2-RAM an upgrade isn't bad ;-)
(With Vista 2 GB is better than 1 GB, with XP it depends on your programs. My opinion.)
