My Xi 2428 is Dead.

Postby LS_ » Thu Nov 15, 2007 5:11 pm

Hi to all of you. I have a problem with my new xi 2428. I bought it 1 month ago and tried to update my bios from 1.4 to 1.6c.

I run the bios update from Winxp (close all programs) and in the first step of the update process the laptop died (no led display, no screen available.. nothing...).

I checked if there is a power problem by changing the battery with a firend of mine but nothing.
I Think maybe Nod32 was the problem cause i had Amon enabled (file system monitor) and checked the file during update process.

Is there any chance for my problem to be fixed by changing the bios chip? or i have to change my mainboard? :(

Sorry for my english.

I think changing the BIOS chip will help. I can't think of a reason why the mainboard itself could be damaged.

Thanx a lot for answering my question Aaron!

I couldn't find any bios chip for xi 2428 on the internet so i gave it to Fujitsu to solve the damage.
I hope to be bios chip and not motherboard the problem...
