problem with amilo M1450G

Postby vladmanro » Fri Nov 16, 2007 7:24 am

Hello.
I have an amilo M1450G notebook. I have recently tryed to partition the hdd using partition magic but i couldn't, so i tryed to reinstall windows and partition the hdd using the dvd provided with the notebook. still didn't work because the installation process was completly automatic. so i got another windows xp cd and partitioned the hdd and formatted the first partion on which i was supposed to reinstall windows. I inserted the notebook's dvd in the dvd drive and the installation of the system ran untill a message that said that the computer i was trying to run the setup process isn't a Fujitsu siemens computer, therefore i couldn't install the OS provided for the notebook. I have finally installed Windows using the cd that i used for partioning. afterwards i managed to install all the drivers from the fujitsu siemens dvd.
The notebook currently doesn't have any problems but i would still like to use the OS provided by Fujitsu Siemens.
Can anyone help me, please?

Thank you!

You have FSC Recovery CD, not a DVD, with winXP provided. I couldn't catch the problem...

You can be sure that the RecoveryCD version of winXP is not automatic install, and you can partition, format and so on like the retail.
If you can specify at which point of the winXP install appears this text?
