Hi there, I recently brought an Amilo Li T1718 and have noticed that there seems to be what i think is a 25gb partition of the hard drive. this D: drive has a 25gb folder of temp (.tmp files) that were all created when i got the laptop and havent been accessed since. It says on the box that there is 12gb devoted to system recovery so this souldnt be it as it's 25gb. So my question is this, what is this folder and partition used for? Is is system recovery or is that loaced on the normal C: drive? Or is it leftover files from the vista home installation.
It all boils down to, can I safely delete these files and remove the partition so its all part of the C: drive again. If i cen i'd appreciate help on removing the partition.
They're not really causing a problem, it's just i'd like to free up as much space as possible, and if the files are doing nothng other than taking up space i'd like to be rid of them.
Theres a screenie of the drive, folder and files in the attacment.
Thanks in advance
Jason
