Memory upgrade Amilo Pa 1538, processor slowed down by 50%  Topic is solved

Postby Jouco » Tue Dec 04, 2007 3:31 pm

So I upgraded the memory in my Amilo pa 1538 today from 1 gb (two 512 mb pc 4200 444mhz modules) to two 1Gb memory modules:

Kingston Pc 5300 667mhz 1Gb

ok everything worked fine and system showed memory to the total of 2 Gb, however my processor speed went down from 1,6 Ghz to 801 Mhz

What am I doing wrong here? Please, any help would be greatfully appreciated

Did you solve it? I'd try to reset the BIOS settings.

Yes I solved it, pretty simple actually, noticed the sticky "Why does my CPU only clock on 600-1000 MHz? "

The power cord was not connected, therefore the processor slowed down with 50%
