Amilo Pa 1538 high temperatures and fan speed control

Postby gixx » Sat Dec 15, 2007 1:00 am

Hi,
I installed moments ago SpeedFan to see the internal temperatures of the internal components of my Amilo Pa 1538.
The temperatures seems too high for me:

The CPU is at 51°C
The GPU is at 57°C
The HD is at 38°C
The ACPI (which I don't know what it is) is at 60°C

All these temperatures only surfing on the net and not using heavy applications.
This said, the fan speed is not always at the highest speed as I figured it should be, but it changes smetimes. Listening, it seems running at half speed most of the time.
Now, I wish to regulate fan speed through SpeedFan to put it at the maximum speed as I did with my desktop PC but I've seen that it's impossible!
Isn't there a chance to unlock fan speed control?
Are my temperatures too high?
If so, what should I do? Open the laptop to clean dust? Is it an easy task? How to do it?
Thanks.
