Hi to everyone

I have an Amilo 1546 with Windows vista ultimate 32bits intalled on my laptop. The problem is that windows don´t recognize the irda port and the remote control not run, I don´t know that happens.......

Some idea???

It is normal that it is not listed in the device manager, if I remember correctly. Instead the BIOS sends keycodes. No key works?

Edit:
It's not an IrDA device, only a special infrared receiver.

Hi

I have the bios version 1.25, and the powercinema 5, and it don´t run any key.

There are some way to see if the receiver is running?

Thanks for your reply!

For everyone that have had the same problem, I´ve found the solution, i´ve removed the battery of the CMOS and waited 30s and it run.

Yes, I had the same problem :( (the remote control not working at all) on my 1437G one year ago and in the forum I read that to sort out this problem :) you have to 'hard reset' the notebook. To hard reset it there is an exact procedure, involving the removal of the battery pack, of the power supply  and the pressing of the power botton for an exact time. Now I don't remember  this procedure and I've again a similar problem with the remote control, then I think I've to remove the cmos battery as you did.
Thanks for the information

Hi as21ro:

I'm sorry but I don't have the laptop. I remember that I had to remove all screws where the memory was.
So you should remove all screws and remove the case.
