Postby Mikahr » Mon Jul 10, 2006 7:51 pm

I have laptop FS amilo d1845.When I go to stand by and after that start up
laptop autooverclock and shutdown after cca 10 minutes intensive usage
(games like NFSMW) beacuse of overheating

When start up from hibernate or shutdown everything is normal,it can play
games several hours without problems

This data is from Everest,Sandra says same.
Bios is "load optimal defaults",also using SpeedswitchXP with allset to max
perfomance.Any idea?

cheers

I've read about this problem. It is because of the speedstep, possibly. You'll have to swith the Optimized BIOS settings by pressing F9 into the BIOS and saving teh changes. I remember it was so, but i'm not sure. Anyway it must help!

Does the laptop get hot? (Do you have any temperature sensors which Everest/Sandra/NHC recognizes?)
Does the same happen when not using Speedswitch?

Regards
