Amilo pi 1505 - network card diconnetcted but all apparently  Topic is solved

Postby giobbe » Wed Jan 09, 2008 1:39 pm

I have an amilo pi 1505 with new xp drivers, an updated xp, a front wi-fi switch on and the system profiler telling me that the network card works correctly.

Despite this, an ipconfig/all tells me that the device (the intel network card) is disconnected and I cannot feel any network connection.

Any help would be quite appreciated

Do you find any networks at all?

Is the wireless lan led on? According to the manual it is the second led from the left.

That's the quizzical part of it, it is on, I switched it on and it stayed on without faltering ...

Despite this I got a disconnected card.

Maybe it is an XP problem. I had to dump the original Vista and mount a new Xp by using an external app that made a new iso with the addition of the XP amilo driver that were not included in my XP disk.

After that, I remounted the amilo XP driver from Fuji, also I even tried the original intel drive and then I remounted the fuji driver again, to no avail.

System profile ever saw a correctly working car and a correct driver ...

So it did work using Vista?

I couldn't find something like a required software for wireless - the working led also speaks against it, so I also think it should work...

As far as I know the Pi 1505 is/was also sold with XP, so it should not be a general problem.

SOLVED: the machine was bought at a supermarket, there was no accompanying cd.

I downloaded the IBM wireless management utility (administrator version, the one which installed properly), after disabling windows wi-fi management and installing such utility it identified all wireless connections in my condo.

Best regards and thank you Aron
