Problem with XP drivers for Pi 2540

Postby DeCoy78 » Sat Feb 09, 2008 6:39 pm

I have successfully installed XP on my computer but it seems that drivers aren`t working :(

I only managed to install drivers for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400
Still missing audio driver, modem, LAN, WLAN...

I also have a problem with chipset drivers from official FSC site...when I install them USB drives aren`t working anymore, althought they used to work before installation...after chipset drivers, I installed KB888111 and then Realtek audio drivers, and there is still no audio :(

Driver for Motorola modem isn`t working too...when I start it, it says: "The modem driver was pre-installed on your computer. To complete the modem installation, shutsown your computer, insert the modem board to your computer, and then turn the computer back on."

Similar thing happens with the installation of LAN drivers

Help anyone...

The official FSC-drivers will not help you when running XP as FSC only supports Vista.

Starting with chipset, you will have to look for a XP-driver for Intel Mobile 965GM/PM Express Chipset.
Maybe another Amilo with XP-support uses this driver or google for it.
It's the same procedure for all the other devices.

So? Was it helpful?
Or, did someone find all WinXP drivers for Pi2540?

Sorry, I forgot to post my reply...

Unfortunately those drivers that Borkar gave me are not working either:(

I guess the main problem is with the chipset driver from Intel, it does not recognize modem, sound card or LAN card on board my laptop

Well, I have already settled myself with Vista  :(

Well, I am not surprised that the Intel driver package doesnt support your Motorola modem, Realtek LAN card and Realtek Audio Codec ;)

Which drivers are not working?

These that you have mentioned...

After the installation of chipset drivers, when I try to install drivers for modem or LAN, Windows says something like that there is no modem on board my computer and I have to plug it in PCI slot  Same goes for LAN...

Everything goes smoothly with the sound driver, but when I restart nothing happens...drivers are installed corectly, but still there is no sound device availbale in Control Panel :?

(sorry, but the thread is currently only available in German. For your information: the scan tool is provided by FSC)

you havent installed KB888111, have you?
http://tinyurl.com/2wayb3
Dont care about the name "Realtek ALC880 Audio Codec". It is a general Windows update that offers HD audio.

Sorry, but you seem to have an Atheros WLAN solution, not Intel. In this case, the Intel driver was, of course, wrong.
You can try thisone
http://support.fujitsu-siemens.de/Downl ... BAA630F06A

It seems that the LAN driver was the right one. Try to install it again.

Yes I have. In the correct order...chipset-KB888111-Realtek audio driver and I have tried it for several times (installing and deinstalling) but still no audio device recognised :(

There should be a string either looking like this

Can you give me the harware ID of this
