Postby DeCoy78 » Fri Feb 29, 2008 7:02 pm

Here are the Hardware IDs for the first device:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_284BSUBSYS_11071734&REV_03
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_284BSUBSYS_11071734&
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_284B&CC_040300
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_284B&CC_0403

...and for the second one:

ACPI\ITE8709
*ITE8709

And thank you for trying to help me

ah, ok. I was just wondering...

the second one seems to be the IR remote control. You can use this driver:
http://rapidshare.com/files/78814698/CIR_ITE8709.exe

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_284B should be the HD bus of the intel chipset. It should be eliminated when you install the KB888111. I haven't seen any evidence that you have installed KB888111 yet.
So do this and sound card as well as modem should appear in the device manager. Then you can install drivers for both.

OK, I`ll reinstall XP and try it all again in couple of days (some other work just came up :( ) and post the results...

I really, really hope this time will work

I would recommend the following order:

- Use an XP CD with SP2 integrated for installation.
- install chipset drivers http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_ ... age+dc_inf
- install KB888111 http://tinyurl.com/2wayb3 and check what is happening in the device manager. After installation you should see yellow marked devices called "HD Audio device" and "modem device on HD audio bus" (or similar names).
- install audio drivers http://tinyurl.com/fls9e and check sound
If that is working, you can continue with anything you like. WLAN, LAN, graphics, etc.... the order doesn't matter any more.

Hello,

I installed Windows and all the drivers as you recommended and I succeeded to install all except drivers for the graphics and web cam.

I tried with all the drivers from this topic, and from ATI site, and other forums group, with no success. I tried even and Bios Update and all Windows Update.

I attached the file obtained with the FSC scan.

Thank you.

It is very interesting that everybody can install those drivers for XP except me :(

I strictly followed the procedure from above, and still nothing happens when I instal KB888111. That unknown PCI device still remains unknown :x

A friend of mine installed these drivers on his Pi2540, but he integrated chipset drivers from FSC official site (which don`t support Win XP) with XP installation with nLite, just like SATA drivers...

I will have to try it this way soon...

@bukk

If you have problems with the drivers from ATI because they don`t recognize your ATI Mobility 2400 HD card you can modify them a little bit using this tool: Mobility Modder
http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool/

You will have to install Microsoft NET 2.0 and MSXML 4.0 first

Then follow the instructions on address above, it`s really easy to mod the drivers 8)

For graphic card, the Omega drivers did the trick.

For the sound card to work I got myself a new Windows Xp cd (February) and with nLite I added the SATA drivers. The SATA drivers are those form Intel site.

After you install the windows is mandatory to install the chipset driver and after the KB888111 update, then you can install the sound card drivers.

The webcam is still not installed. (Is not appearing in the device manager). If anyone succeeds in installing pleas help me with the driver.

Thank you all for your help.

Something odd to add...
I have dual boot - Vista and XP(only graphics drivers installed)...
I have installed WebCam drivers under Vista (the ones from FSC site), and after that I have noticed that I have the ability of using WebCam under XP too...

Yeah! I did it!

I went to Device Manager and looked for unknown PCI device, which Borkar told me to be PCI HD Bus. I chose the option Update driver and then chose the option PCI Device...the correct drivers just popped up in the window and I just installed the...the audio and modem were there :D

Tnx Borkar for all your help!

Right click on that PCI Device with the exclamation mark, and choose Update driver. Then tick No, not this time option and click next. Tick Install from the specific location (Advanced) and click next again. When Windows asks which device it is, choose system device and right drivers should just pop up in the window. It worked for me...

Then follow the same procedure with other devices with exclamation marks, but this time choose the device according to the situation (eg Network device for Aetheros WLan and such).

Hope this will help you...

You have to install all the drivers (modem, LAN, wireless) from the locations that Borkar gave above, then you can use the Update Driver from Device Manager...
