Max amount of RAM in M1425  Topic is solved

Postby suprnova » Fri Feb 15, 2008 10:04 am

As the topic says.

How much RAM can i put in my M1425 without getting in to any problems ?

I use very heavy editing tools, so I do need more RAM if possible.

Best Regards

EDIT:
Will one of these work?

Kingston 1024MB DDR II 667MHz (SODIMM) (KFJ-FPC218/1G)

Kingston 1024MB DDR2 PC2-4300 533MHz (KFJ-FPC165/1G) (SODIMM)

You need DDR, not DDR2, 333 or 400 MHz modules. SO-DIMM is correct.

So DDR2 doesn't work?

Because, there's a great difference in prices between DDR and DDR2, it's about 50$ cheaper to buy DDR2...

Yes, DDR and DDR2 are incompatible.

Thank you.
