unzip the realtek driver package and install the driver manually by updating the audio driver in the device manager. (Point the setup towards the unzipped realtek audio drivers).

I just tried it, installed with the .inf files and nothing happends, just Realtek appears in device mananger, with a Yellow ! over the icon, so now I uninstalled it, and dont have any "sound" device, just codec device.

When I go control panel - sound, I dont have any device, never had.

Well, I think I just need the correct chipset drivers, maybe start from there?

Well, thanks for everything, more help apprieciated. =)

I'd start with reinstalling windows. Integrate SP2 and KB888111 into the setup cd and install audio drivers right after you have installed chipset drivers.

When I tried that driver, my network card stopped to worked, but some other "Unkown Devices" got know etc.. So I had to install the other driver again you gave me, then my network card worked.

-edit-

Ive found a seperate driver for the network card, so I will try that + the driver from Fuitsu Siemens you just posted. if that work, then I can go from there, try the audio etc. becouse it seems to be the correct chipset, just something with the network..

Sorry, but cannot really help you more than giving you some drivers and telling you things I would try to do...

Since there is no easy solution for this weird driver problem....

Well, thanks very much for the help, but this didnt seem to fixed.

I've now installed the latest Chipset from Fujitsu Siemens you gave me, then I installed my network card, kb888111, and audio driver.. Still no sound, or no audio device at all.

Ive tried all versions from 1.87 down to 1.46, still no solution.

So the thing I will do now is to take my old Windows XP Home Edition disk, copy it to the computer and slipstream it with SP2. Then I will have a Windows XP Home Edition SP2 disk, maybe that help.. I will report back in some hours.

either you google how to integrate MS hotfixes into the setup CD manually or you download tools like XP-ISO-Builder or nlite and do the integration of SP2, KB888111 and (if necessary) SATA drivers with it.
