problem with amilo pa1510

My laptop is about 9 months old and has worked fine until recently.

Whilst it is charging, the laptop will automatically switch off, it then takes about 30 seconds before I can manually switch it back on. Its happened 3 times today.

Its still under warranty so I'm considering returning it, but I am unsure what is causing it.

It was fine until I installed The Sims 2, could this be the cause? (it happens even when the game isn't running)

sounds like a overheating problem.
You can have a look at this
topic,11,-Hardware-F-A-Q.html
what you can do. Maybe it is a hardware problem as well. Try also BIOS and hardware reset (see link above).
