Amilo L1310G Keyboard

Postby ibrahimov » Sun Feb 24, 2008 5:59 pm

After taking Amilo 1310G to pieces and assembling, several keys on keyboard are not working. These keys are T G H V B N. All other keys are working. What can I do with that? How it can be repaired? And if not, who has keyboard for that model?

Thanks for attention!

Theoretically you could bypass the defective spot. But I doubt whether you will be able to do that without professsional equipment.

Adresses where you can get spare parts can be found here.

These bright lines on the cable are electric conductors. The one you marked seems to be cut.
One could use another cable to bridge the defective spot, but finding the right material will be difficult and soldering at these low dimensions will be nearly impossible for a layman.

The dark shade in your 2nd picture (above right from your mark) looks unhealthy too. It's hard to tell it from the picture but it looks charred.

I think the 70 Euro for a new keyboard would be a good investment. Maybe you can get it cheaper at e-bay. Look for defective Notebooks or separate parts.
Another (unlovely) solution could be the use of an external keyboard via USB.

Dark shade is OK, it is glue remains, you can see it on the metallic part too.

I've heard about some kind of electricity-conducting glue. Anybody knows what is its name?
