Amilo 1536 has a Bluetooth connector???

Postby Ferlauf » Wed Mar 12, 2008 3:24 pm

Hi!

A few days ago, while I was upgrading my notebook with some extra memory, I noticed that there is one unused 8-pin connector labeled as CN19. Does anyone know what is its purpose? It looks like a bluetooth connector.
I was searching the Internet for days regarding this, but without any luck... How can I check this, since I was unable to find the service manual for this (or any other FSC) model, nor the motherboard scheme?
I hope someone here must be knowing something about this specific connector...

Thank you in advance!

Could be something else also since it's a multi-purpose connector, but if it's a bt connector, it's usually wired like this:

1 > +3.3 V
2 > GND
3 > DATA +
4 > DATA -
5 > BLUE LIGHT
6 > NOT USED

You could buy a cheap bluetooth USB adapter(just bought one for 9€, which is something like $13-$15 i think), open it and connect it to the
CN19 with wires. Naturally you will have to measue which pin is 1 and which is 6.

edit: Also note that those adapters usually take 5v, but most models work with 3.3v also.
