All kinds of problems or malfunctions without known reason. Also general problems with the notebook as a whole.

Hi all!

Sorry for my bad english.
Here is the problem:
my pa1538 dosen´t start without power cord if I turn this off. Battery is fully charged. If plug in and start it with cord it starts and it stays on if I unplug.

I have no real idea, but maybe your battery is too weak to stand the boot-peak.

Can you please boot from any Linux-Live-CD (Knoppix, Kanotix, Ubuntu...) and post the output of the following commandline-command:

cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info

Thanks! I will try that as soon as possible.
I can work over an hour with battery.
this wakes up from sleeping mode without cord.
