Dualboot on 2528  Topic is solved

Postby qi130 » Mon Apr 07, 2008 9:50 am

Hello all !

I plan to install XP pro on my xa2528. the PC comes with 2 partitions on the HD :)

I download all the drivers for this 8)

I saw somewhere a tutorial..."install XP on 2nd partition...then repair VISTA..."

but, to repair VISTA I must boot on the vista install DVD, unfortunatly, I just have the 3 DVD resulting of the 1st use of the laptop (3 x recovery DVD).
Using these DVD leads to restore the laptop to its initial state, erasing all datas even on the D: drive (no other option at all).

Can I make a bootable Vista install DVD from these 3 recovery DVD ?

How can I proceed ?

Regards.

I don't know if it is possible to make an install-DVD from the recovery-DVDs.

But if I'm right you only need to restore your MBR after the XP-installation.
Maybe EasyBCD can help you. Please refer to my post in this thread:
