Amilo La1703 Hot Temp question.

Postby MaTriXs » Wed Apr 23, 2008 9:54 am

Hi, I¡m a new user in this forum, and I have an Amilo La1703, whose HD temp is over 35-39 ºC. Temp 1 (ACPI) gets over 52 or 60 ºC, and Core Temp nearly all the time is 60 ºC.
It is at this way since I bought it. My question is: is this a problem? or it's something common?
Thanks.

No it is not a problem.
Notebooks become warmer than desktop-PCs because of their compact design.

Notebook-HDDs are designed to work at maximum temperatures of 55-60°C (depending on manufacturer).
For CPU and GPU everything below 90°C is not critical.

Thank for the info!!! My CPU is a AMD Athlon X2 Tk55,

Nothing to worry about.

Mine worked fine for 77 hours nonstop at full load and 73°C and still works. :)
