amilo pi 1505 battery and HDD broke down ?

Postby razno » Wed Apr 23, 2008 7:55 pm

hi, first of all I am razno, a proud (ex?) owner of a one and a half years old Fujitsu Siemens Amilo PI 1505. But just an hour or so ago it freaked out and stopped working.

I wanted to move it so i disconnected the powercable, and it just shut down. Well i thought it was the battery, so i removed it let it cool down a bit, and i wanted to reboot my laptop. when i rebooted it gave me a BSOD and it died again.

I already tried to boot it from the CD-Romm but it tells me that it can't install the disk because there is no harddisk connected....

so are both my battery and HDD dead?

Cheers,
Razno

i think this is the code the BSOD gives me, i made a photograph of it, but i could not read it very well,

stop
Code: Select all
0x00000024 (0x00190203, 0x86972808, 0xc0000102, 0x00000000)

cheers,

This error message means that something with your NTFS-filesystem is wrong. Either the fs itself or the driver (ntfs.sys) is broken.
The reason could be a software problem or a hardware damage (HDD).

If you have a Windows-CD, boot it and run the repair option.
If you don't have a Windows-CD and it is only the driver that is broken, I think the only way to fix it on your own is, to load the ntfs.sys from another computer to a USB-stick, boot the notebook from a LiveCD and copy the ntfs.sys.
