Guide: How to remove / replace Amilo A 1667G keyboard

To be honest with you I searched and searched throught the net for an answer how to remove my keyboard to clean it but to no avail.
So i grabbed a modeling knife and tried my luck.
After i succeeded i decided to post the result so anyone who is interested might find it. The laptop model is old but still the principle might be valid in some of the new laptops.

This is the keyboard
I noticed that there are notches on the side of the case that can be pressed to the side.

one at the pageup pagedown buttons

one above the num lock

one above the f1 button

and one on the left side of the right shift

using the modeling knife i pressed the notches to the side while trying to put the knife's blade under the keyboard so that i can lift it.
You can start from the top side and one by one press the notches while the keyboard is released.

all that is left is to remove the cable connecting the keyboard to the motherboard. While you can pull it out easily to put it back you must pull the brown brace a little bit to the side insert the cable band back into the socket.

And then put the brace back in.
All you have to do now is insert the keyboard back in pointing the legs of its side to the openings at rear side of the keyboard casing

and then press the keyboard back in gently.
CAUTION: If you are doing this while the laptop has been turned on for some time you shouldn't touch the surface beneath the keyboard with bare hands because it might be hot and you might burn yourselves.
P.S. The stupid geocities has a limit to the bandwidth so they might be an annoying message that the site is unavailable if you wait for some hours it will be ok. The pictures are attached also to the topic except the last two.
