Profile Question

Postby gdi » Mon Aug 14, 2006 2:24 pm

I always wonder why people don't fill out there profile information correctly... have your say!

Personally, I just like to know where everyone is (who is apart the forum) and I always like to look for South Africans.

Anyways!

I appreciate privacy a lot. So I also don't like to fill out profiles in forums too detailed and with too much information. But if you are here more often, it is just nice to see where you are from and to get some tiny pieces of information of the great unknown. It makes the anonymous nick names a bit more personal. It is also increases the sense of commuity.

Of course, it only makes sense if you feel comfortable here.

I wouldn't care,if somebody here would know about, what I am doing in my free time and so on.
But because I am sometimes really lazy,I just do not do it.
I think I add some information to my profile from time to time, but not all information in once.I don't have that much time,y'know?

I guess the poll results say it all. I don't like to share more information than I need to. However, I agree with Borkar. It's only a matter of one knowing how to express himself virtually I guess

I think this forum has a nice community and a good ambiente, at least the english, but I'm sure the German has too. It's just a shame having too language forums divide the community onto two forums, making it feel smaller than it really is, but I understand.

But virtually i could say whatever I want,could't I?
I mean if I read something odd in somebodys profile, than I first thin, that they lie and just do it to get attention.
Doesn't matter to me if I am told virtually that I am weird or something, because if I meet someone from a forum,I wouldn't even know, that he knows my virtual me.
Sorry if this is Ot.
