I have seen many topics describing the same problem with the display. I'm facing the same problem as I try to fix my friends Fujitsu Amilo 1538.
Well, Fujitsu says that the problem is on their faulty graphic card chip (nvidia) which is onboard.
Which means, you can send it to Fujitsu and they will replace the motherboard for free if you still have warranty. If your warranty is over, then you need to pay about 400 dollars or euros, for that motherboard to be replaced. Either way is wrong, because the same model of faulty graphics chip will still be onboard and you will face the same problem some other time with the new motherboard.
Fujitsu found about this faulty nvidia chip, and they came with a BIOS Flash update which will solve the problem once and for all before it happens.
But what if you already have black screen and there is no way you can flash the bios?? I've searched many forums, and there is no solution to it.
Well I am not an expert at this, and I want to ask you something guys, maybe you can help.
--Well, the hard drive works fine if you place it on another laptop and you can still do your work. Fujitsu's download link for the Bios Update is an .exe file, and their instructions are to run this file while on windows. There is also the same bios update in .rom or .iso for cd, but I want to stick with the .exe file.
So my question is, if I place my Hard Drive to another laptop, download that Bios update .exe, is there a way which I can make that .exe run when windows starts? I want to place my hard drive back to my Fujitsu laptop, and when I turn on and logs into windows (with a black screen), it wil automaticaly run the bios flash update .exe. file, hopefully it will solve the problem... so, is this actually possible?
thanks for your time
