Shutdown temperature for amilo pi 2540

Postby alex85 » Sun May 25, 2008 3:49 pm

Last night my notebook overheated. The cpu temperature went up to over 80 degrees Celsius and then it stopped....is this normal? and if not...what should I do to prevent this from happening again...
PS: today I used everest ultimate to determin the temperature and it shows values up to 70 degrees with an average of lets say...60-65
When I went to the BIOS I couldn't find anything about the temperature
PSS:my notebook is an amilo pi 2540 with Intel Pentium Core Duo T2330 inside...

Please clean your fan and the grill. If this isn't enough to solve your problem, get a cooler pad or call the support.

Did you get a cooler pad? Have you see any improvement with your temperature?

I have bought a cooler pad and indeed my cpu temperature does not run over 60 degrees.
The problem is the notebook's fan doesn't work anymore. I have to use the warranty but I plan to do so in July. For now the pad does the trick.

Anyways I wouldn't advise anyone to buy FS notebooks :) a close friend of mine has a Toshiba notebook that hasn't had a problem so far, unlike my FS.

I've bought a coolerpad too but I don't see any improve at all maybe because I bought a cheap one heh
The fans in the coolerboard must blow the air to the notebooks base or must take the air away?

Guess I could say my cooler pad is a cheap one too...but it does the trick...I mean I can browse and work on my notebook without risking to burn my lap. Haven't yet tried it while running a game...but I believe it wouldn't be usefull at all..
Now...the fans on the cooler pad blow air to the notebook base ..the cool air replaces the hot one and the fans take it away...simple mate!
So mate...if your product's warranty isn't over yet use it while you can couse it really doesn't matter how cheap the cooler-pad is..its all about the crappy notebook you and I have
