pi1505 screen connection problems - going blank - help!

Postby brad » Tue Jun 03, 2008 8:45 am

Hi

I have a screen problem with my pi1505 – the screen comes on when the screen is kept low (near the keyboard) but turns off when its at a normal viewing angle. It also makes a sticking noise.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Think it may be a loose connection to the screen but don’t know how to check and solve it. Anyone got any ideas?

Any help would be really appreciated as the situation is quite desperate

Thanks so much!

Kind Regards

Brad

All laptops have trip switch when laptop screens are closed, this puts the laptop into stand by.
It sounds like the switch is not working or faulty, because if the screen is placed close to keyboard it should getting ready to into standby mode and switching off. However yours is coming on. This is not a serious problem.

Or, your inverter is lose, this also is minor problem, both problems can easily sorted by yourself if you are good at electronic side of things.

Have the identical problem.
I suspect it is the wiring harness in the main (bottom) machine.
How does one remove the top plastics? Do you have to remove every screw underneath?
