Problems with hard drives, CD/DVD-devices, firmware updates, USB stick, card reader,...

Do any of you guys know if there is a limit on HDD size for the Amilo Pro V2030? I am planning to upgrade the HDD to a 160GB, 7200rpm model, but I don't want to waste my money if the laptop wont recognise the disk or only give me a portion of the disk to play with.
All comments greatly appreciated.

The 160GB-disk will work.
There is a critical limit at 128GB. I don't know if the V2030 supports more but I think so.
If it doesn't you will at least have 128GB available.

There's a seller on ebay.com who offers a 160 GB hdd - for the V2030. So it should work...
Regards
Aaron

There are several sellers that offer HDDs larger than 120GB explicitely for the V2030.
It is very likely but it shouldn't be taken for granted that these drives will be fully supported.
I remember once having seen a danish online shop that offered DDR2-RAM for a notebook equipped with DDR-RAM.

i tried to install a top of the line WD black scorpio 320G 7200 RPM sata drive on my v2030 this weekend. cloned the 40G SATA drive already installed to the larger drive no problem using a usb cable and harness. but when i installed the new drive into the laptop it was not recognized in bios. not sure what to do. 40 gigs is not enough. what is the largest drive (make and model) that anyone has succesfully installed in the v2030?

sata HDD with 7200rpm will never work. You can install any model but on 5400 rpm. I installed without any problem Samsung 160Gb sata2 5400 rpm
