xi 2528 3GB cheaper than xi 2528 2GB, why?  Topic is solved

Postby MMrko » Mon Jun 16, 2008 8:05 pm

Hi,

I'm currently planning on purchasing a new laptop: Amilo xi 2528. One thing that has made me wonder is why xi 2528 with 3GB memory is cheaper(~75$) than the one with 2GB? I've checked all the specs and they seem to be exactly the same with one another:

2GB

3GB:

I'd me more than glad if someone of you could enlighten me on this. Thanks...

Your first link doesn't direct me to the specified notebook.
Please check this!

Maybe this is because I am from germany and this offer isn't available here, but I think it should be a link containing a pattern like "DeepLink" like the 2nd one.

Sorry, my bad. It was a bad link. Here are the proper ones from another site:

2GB

3GB
http://www.ictvoormkb.nl/NVP2_Products/ ... f=18558839

On this website there even seems to be more hard disk space (320gb) on the 3GB one :?

Ok, now it works.

I can't see any disadvantages in the 3GB-model.
The only things that aren't clear are the manufacturers of HDD and DVD. But this shouldn't be relevant.

My dutch is not the best but as far as I can see, the 2GB-model is not available at the moment.
Maybe this offer is just older, what could be a reason for the higher price.

I recommend you to go for the 3GB-model.

OK, sounds reasonable. Thank you for your replies, I appreciate it. I'll go for the 3GB one.
