Amilo Motherboard Help Plz (Manufacturer)

Postby fothsn » Fri Aug 18, 2006 5:59 pm

Hey guys just 2 quick questions for you amilo teckies :D I need to find out who manufactures the Amilo L7300 motherboard, I have tried all the known tools out there to try and identify it but to no avail,

Also I have upgraded the celeron m to a pentium m chip, now the bios startup shows a big celeron m logo, would it be possible if i was to find out the manufacturer of the mobo and flash the laptop with there bios rather than the F/S?

Any Help on the above matters would be appriciated?

Cheers,

It should be Mitac.

Does EIST (Enhanced Intel Speedstep) work?
Flashing another BIOS is not the best idea...

Hi aspettl thanks for the reply,

Thanks for the manufacturer of the motherboard :D, as for EIST I have done some little reaserch and it looks like the motherboard or bios dont support this feature,

The current bios I have is:
BIOS Version/Date FUJITSU SIEMENS 1.0F-0031-0812, 29/09/2005

I have just visited the FS main support site and there is a newer bios version 1.0G 14.12.2005)

Would it be worth while flashing to the newer bios? or can u personally think of a way of removing the Celeron M logo?

Thanks Nigel.

The BIOS should show a Pentium M logo... I'd upgrade the BIOS.

I think you should get EIST to work with RM Clock ("enable EIST").
