NO clocking up

Postby gvdgvdgvd » Mon Jun 30, 2008 10:48 am

Laptop amilo pa 2548
OS: Windows XP SP 2
I have AMD power manager installed and driver for the processor
but when on battry mode it stays on 800mHz and no clocking up despite of the power schemes I ; changing

In the bios there is no option for the processor clocking
I restored the defaults in the BIOS and nothing changed

Please give me link for drivers you tested and forked for this laptop
(I installed driver from the AMD site for XP, no idea why it is not working
silent mode is working well
are some other options for the processor which can I change from windows??
(btw CPUz and amd power monitor are showing exactly the same thats why I'm sure for the no0clocking-up when ot battery mode) :)

You can try RM Clock. Seems like you tried all other options already... ;-)

RM Clock is a lot more than a "measuring" tool...

lol..........its caled speed steping

when laptop doesnt use any application that requires cpu, speed is degraded to 792-850 mhz.AMD is well known as very HOT procesor, its temp goes to 95c when its fully active,so they use speed step to cool down cpu.

try run a game on it and press alt tab and check in my computer propeties, ul see true speed then!

i hope i helped.

greets....
