Hello There! I believe I can help on this one even tho im very late in seing the message and you probably have the computer fixed by now lol...
I happen to have the same computer AND managed to break my screen too after falling asleep on top of it *sigh*
Anyway, this could be useful to anyone else who wants to dissasemble this computer..
NOTE - before you start you may want to get some notepaper to keep a diagram of the dissasembling as you go, remember to label things so you know what goes where when you put it back together, Keep different types of screws seperate and label them as to where they come from.
1. First take all the screws out of the back of the laptop, including the large panel which covers the motherboard (these screws are all the same type so dont worry)
2. Take out the battery (located on the back of the laptop) by sliding the locks and pulling out. Under the battery are some screws.. about 5 or 6 of them... remove these
3) coming through a hole in the motherboard there are two black leads marked A and M leading to the Atheros AR5BXB63 WLAN card. unplug these from the card by pulling the metal terminals off the two pins on the card, as you will need to pull both these leads back through the hole in the motherboard
4. Turn the laptop the right way up, and prize off the panel which covers the laptop's speakers (the power, webcam fan etc buttons are part of this panel) The panel just clips off but you need to prize it off carefully, takes a bit of force... be careful.
Once this panel is off, removal of the keyboard is easy... (you just lift it up at the back and pull it out) You will have also exposed the screen hinges which you can now just unscrew)
5. unplug all the cables leading from the hinges of the screen part of the laptop ( i think theres about 4 or 5 plugs that need pulling out, and you may want to draw a diagram at this stage)
6. seperate the lid from the computer by removing the hunge screws and lifting off
Taking the lid apart...
This is easy really... there are screws in the lid 4 at the top (behind the small rubber gromits which you will need to remove first) and 2 at the bottom of the screen case next to the hinges (which have small covers over them) once removed the lid just comes apart...
7) remove all plugs on the inside of the lid casing and take out the 8 bracket screws (4 on the left and 4 on the right hand side of the LCD panel) this will release the LCD from the brackets that hold it steady inside the casing...
You can now lift the LCD screen out and swap it with the new one...
