Amilo Si 1520: Vista SP1 upgrade possible?

Postby appultaart » Thu Jul 24, 2008 1:27 pm

Hello,

I have an Amilo Si 1520, Vista Home Premium. For Vista users, an service pack (SP1) should be made available through the 'automatic update' function, but so far I have received no notification. Apparently, my system is not deemed ready to go on to install SP1.

Questions:
1. are here other Amilo Si 1520 users that have upgraded to the SP1?
2. If yes, did you do manual installation or via 'automatic update' function?
3. Why do I not get the 'upgrade to SP1' notification, when my system is fully updated?
(4. So far, all works fine, so no immediate need to get that SP1 software on my laptop; however, Microsoft indicates that it contains improvements etc. , so I'd thought to try to get it..)

As I use Vista's automatic updates function, Vista (Vista Home Premium) is fully up-to-date, no reports of missing updates (or hidden updates that are not installed). Also, I have checked that all drivers mentioned in this document [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948343] are ok. As far as I can see, my system is capable of doing the upgrade to SP1. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance, appultaart

I don't use Vista but there are users of the Si 1520 in the german amilo-forum who have Vista installed with SP1.
Unfortunately I don't know which way they did the upgrade so I can only tell you that the Si 1520 works with SP1.
