Postby xabdullahx » Sun Jul 27, 2008 3:40 pm

Hi

Ive had my laptop for a while now.
When i bought it, it came with Vista. - With sound, then i reinstalled and still have sound.
The i put in a headset and when i took it out it didnt worked anymore?
And since then i dont have sound (Many months ago)

Now i installed XP and i still dont have sound

I noticed on vista, when my computer is on standby and i wake it up again, i can hear startup sound <-- The only sound i hear

so its a software problem?

I have exactly same problem, i`m done everything possible to resolve this, but nothing gonna work. I format my hard disk and instaling Vista again, but still no sound. i try lots of different drivers, registry entries and checking all cables. "when my computer is on standby and i wake it up again, i can hear startup sound" if i put media player playing mp3 before i going to standby mode and i wake it up again ican hear 5-10s music before something muted sounds.
