Incompatible display?

Postby SirSkorpan » Fri Aug 15, 2008 3:13 pm

I just bought a new display to my amilo M1437G. The screen I bought came from a amilo M1451G but I was told that they were compatible. Now when I have connected the new screen to my laptop and start up the new screen is all white (I don't get a picture at all). Could it be the case that the new screen isn't compatible after all or maybe I have to reset or change some setting in the computer?

The old display is a Chunghwa - CLAA154WA02A
The new display is a Samsung - LTN154X3-L01

Does anyone know?

My Bad, as usual when one asks the question you finally find the answer yourself :) the problem was that I hadn't plugged the connector in properly. I noticed it when I switched back to my faulty display and the connector went in deeper in the socket on the old display than on the new one. So with a bit of violence (who said it never solves anything?! :P) and some finesse the connector actually went in as deep in the new socket as well. Now the laptop works again :D
