I wanna sell my AMILO D7830 to get a Better One!

Postby axel364 » Fri Aug 25, 2006 3:54 pm

Hello,
So I decided to sell my laptop on eBay, I want a great price to buy a better one (amilo ;) I don't want to leave this great community), I bought that laptop on eBay for 350 EUR (445 USD). I have to upgrade this in order to sell it for the greatest price, here is my config :

CPU : Mobile Intel Celeron 1.7 GHZ
I bought a new CPU on eBay, Mobile Intel Pentium 4 3.06GHZ, could you tell me how can I change the CPU once I receive it please ?

RAM : 2048MO DDR PC2700U
This is ok!

GRAPHIC CARD : ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 64mo
That's okay, I can't change it.

HARD DRIVE : 40GB 5400RPM
This sux! Which type of hard drive can I take ? Is the serial port ATA ? I want 160gb or more!!!

DRIVE : DVD/CDRW
This sux too, where can I buy a combo DVD R DVD RW CD R CD RW "doubleface" drive ? (sorry I don't know how to say a dvd drive which can write on a double faced dvd...)

SCREEN : 15,4"
It's perfect!
There are some marks behind the screen... Could you tell me where can I buy a great vinyl sticker to hide them please ?

Will I be able to buy a warranty ?

(I'll give my Steam account which have CS,CS:S,CS:CZ,HL2;HL2:DM and HL2:LC) :D

Thanks for all your answers :)

I don't know if it is worth the money you have to spend...

It should work, but I can't give you technical details.

Are you sure 2 x 1 GB works? There are reports that it doesn't... (but it could depend on the modules, of course).

You need parallel ATA. 160 GB is very much for a single notebook harddisk -> expensive.

Dou you mean double layer?

No.

Thank you for your reply :)
I know how to change the CPU now, I'm really sure my ram memory is 2GB, I saw it in the BIOS Setup :D and I'll send my notebook to an expert who know how to upgrade the hard disk and the dvd drive to a dual layer.
I have a problem for the photo, I use a nokia n91 and I can't connect it on linux, I see you have the same distrib, could you tell me how can I transfer some photos and musics on it please ? (sorry, It's really offtopic lol)

Thanks alot :)

I only have an old mobile for emergencies, so I don't know what possibilities there are. Infrared, bluetooth - it depends...
