hi senior
i have amilo m6450G and i never discovered how to force the engine to use memory at 533Mhz . I ran sandra engineer and reports the 2 gb corsair running still at 400mhz bus even if its clearly an 533 mhz memory and the laptop is compatible with both 400 and 533.

You could call the support and ask them, why your ram default is just 400mhz and not 533mhz.
Sorry,I didn't see that you do not have an m3438.There I have 533mhz.
But how do you think about buying faster ram with other latencies, than the ram you already have instead of upgrading it to two Gb?

It deppends on what games/programs you need. I for sure will go with more ram but I'm using a Nikon software that eats as much ram as one is willing to drop to ;)

I think ram will not be the problems, too. Maybe the graphic driver, or the native screen solution (1400x900) makes some games lagging.

I recetly read, that having fast Ram is a good thing, but its better to have more "slow"Ram(533) than less "fast"(more than 533).
