Hi ..i just bought off ebay a used cpu for my amilo li 1705 .I had SL9VA cpu on it and this CPU is SL9VY .I swapped the cpu with the one from ebay and when i start up my laptop it is very very slow !I use windows XP sp2 and i also upgraded the bios to 1.0D .Still i can barely move the mouse cursor (the windows starts up at a black screen with a cursor on it .What should i do ?

Did you try the "hardware reset" (see FAQ)?

yep i tried that ...nothing so far ...anything else.Is the cpu (sl9vy) the right one for my machine (cpu sl9va ) ?

the solution was upgrading to windows 7 :) now it works :)
