How to install win xp pro

Postby icycoldtouches » Fri Sep 01, 2006 10:02 pm

Hello people,
I bought an Amilo A 1650G and it came with win xp home ed. Thing is I would really love to install a win xp pro version on it. I tried and all worked out fine until it was time to install all the drivers. At this point I am not sure how to proceed. the official web site does not offer win xp pro drivers. Anyone has an idea or a solution for my problem? I would really apreciate it. Thank you.

A.

Just insert your "Drivers & Utilities" DVD and select the automatic installation. It works with XP Pro, too.
(Drivers for XP Pro and XP Home are the same.)

Thank you. I did that the last time and it said that the drives are not the right one. Maybe I need to try harder. ;)

Hello forum people, maybe this post is a bit out of range, in that case, my apologies, but still need to cool down...

Dear Mr. [removed name],
Thanks for your response, but, sorry, it does not help me for nothing.
Already noticed your recovery CD is not multilanguage but, your
statement about there is no way to install windows in any other
language is not completely true, my problem is not about formatting or
loading system, I've already done...acquired here an original english
version XP Pro, tuned it with some SATA driver and installed fine...the
problem is about drivers, how to make this thing recognize graphics
card, Wi-fi and sound, if there is any kind of useful support from your
Company for users.
In all my life I've already had half dozen laptops and never seen
something like this, a device not compatible with anything out in the
market...
Hope you and your company will have a succesful market share increase,
great revenues, and succesful future, but promise never ever will buy
again any thing made by your company.

sincerely yours

Sorry, I don't understand the problem. You can get all the drivers on the web, especially http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com/support/downloads.html .
Why should they not work? I'm not aware of any problems with drivers of this laptop (and it is often sold and not that new). They're not special, either.

Hi, aspettl.

My apologies, there is no any problem with the laptop, found all necesary drivers & stuff out there... what pissed me a lot was the attitude of the FS support guy & considered posting here to share with the rest this bad attitude. Still can't figure how the company can advertise & sell their products outside Germany as they don't provide any support outside.
CL
ps. as you removed the support guy name from the post, may I ask you the same kindness on mine?
