Pi1505 Ram upgrade

Postby sineyk » Thu Oct 09, 2008 9:39 am

I have an Amilo Pi1505 notebook (Core2Duo 1.83 GHz processor and 2x512Mb DDR2 533 Ram). A few days ago, I saw 2 GB DDR2 667 MHz ram modules. I wonder if these 2 gb modules work on my notebook. Any ideas?

In principle they should work. At least the chipset supports 4GB. But maybe your bios will not support it. And if you run a 32bit-windows, you can't use the full 4GB.
I would recommend you to upgrade to 2 or 3GB. It should be enough in most situations.
And look for brands like Kingston, MDT or Samsung since they turned out to be the most reliable ones.

Did the 2 GB module work in your Pi 1505 as I am considering doing the same. At the moment I have 1.5 Gb, a 1 Gb in the first slot and a 512Mb in the second slot under the keyboard. Does the upgrade give a noticeable improvement? I am running vista
